Hi everyone!
Recently, we attended BOOK 2.0 in Lisbon, a conference bringing together people from the book and publishing industry to discuss the future of reading, storytelling, and books.
As founders of Neolemon, we believe it’s important to keep learning, understand how the industry is evolving, and bring useful insights back to our community.

Here are three things that stayed with us.
1. Reading is more than entertainment One of the strongest messages from the conference was the connection between reading and well-being. Books can bring comfort, inspire imagination, reduce feelings of loneliness, and help us connect with others. Stories can have a meaningful impact beyond the pages of a book.
2. A meaningful story doesn’t need to be long One of the trends discussed was the growing interest in bite-sized reading. As reading habits evolve, authors are exploring shorter books and formats that fit more naturally into everyday life. It’s a reminder that even a short story can carry a powerful message.
3. Making books more accessible matters Another important topic was how the book industry can better understand readers, adapt to changing habits, and make books more accessible.
This connects closely with why we started Neolemon.
At Neolemon, we believe everyone deserves the chance to bring their story to life, even without artistic skills or experience.
We want to empower parents to create meaningful stories for their children, educators to bring learning to life, grandparents to turn family memories into illustrated books, and first-time authors to finally transform their ideas into something they can share with the world.
We want to keep learning, listening to creators, and innovating so that more meaningful stories can find their way into the world.
New: Story Studio
Our latest step in that direction: Story Studio turns your book into a video narrated in your own voice. Open a project, arrange your pages on a timeline, add your narration, and export a video you can share anywhere.
This is the first version of Story Studio, and there’s a lot more on the way. Our goal is to make Neolemon the ultimate cartoon storytelling tool for both books and videos.
A sneak peek at what’s next
You’ve asked for more freedom when building your book in Projects. Here’s what we’re working on right now:
Title page, blank pages and a proper last page, so your printed book matches the preview on Amazon KDP
Text over your pictures, with every page free to be a picture, text or blank
Pictures on both sides of a spread, and add pages before you have the pictures
More book sizes, so rectangular illustrations are no longer cropped to a square
If there is something else that will improve your story creation, just reply to this email. Your messages decide what we build next.
